A model posing

If you are an experienced model and looking for work, we are always happy to hear from you, and to give new models an opportunity. Please write to us from this page with your work experience and photos.

Mandy Boursicot Atelier is a small and comfortable environment with usually 10 or fewer students.

The figure model normally takes a standing contraposto pose, which is the same pose for all 3-4 weeks. During each 3 hour evening, students draw for 20-25 minutes (longer at the start of the evening and shorter at the end of the evening).

After each sitting, there is a 5 minute break. The third break is the long break of about 15 minutes. The teacher does the time keeping.

The portrait model is clothed and seated (please wear same top/shirt every week).

The format of the session is the same as for the figure, that is drawing for 25 minutes + 5 minute breaks. The third break is a long one, 15 minutes. The pose continues from one week to the next for 3-4 weeks.

Currently there are 4 model groups a week:

Sunday, nude figure 6-9pm

Monday, clothed portrait 6:30-9:30pm

Tuesday, nude figure 6:30-9:30pm

Wednesday, clothed portrait 2-5pm

In addition to regular weekly classes, there is a weekend workshop once a month. Depending on the topic of the weekend, a model may be required.

If this sounds interesting to you, please send in your contact details through online form on this page, with a brief CV and some photos, including your portrait and some figure shots.

Please also let us know your preference for modelling and your availability.
